❖ THE COVENANT ❖

I bind myself by my honor to ensure she remains unmarked by needle or iron, and that no collar of servitude shall touch her neck while she dwells under my protection.

We, the companioning couple agree to the following:

I. LAWFUL UNION Both parties enter this agreement freely, asserting there are no prior legal reservations or outstanding contracts. In accordance with the law, each party shall maintain only one Free Companion at any time.

II. HONOR AND PROTECTION The woman shall act to the man’s credit; the man shall respect her status as a Free Woman. Should she act in an immodest or disgraceful manner, her freedom may be forfeit. The man pledges to protect her well-being so she may flourish and bear his heirs. The woman retains the right to private counsel, though the man's word shall remain final.

III. DUTY TO CASTE The woman shall continue her Caste labors or studies. These pursuits shall not be neglected, nor shall they interfere with her primary duties to the man. The man shall support her in these endeavors so that she may excel.

IV. DOMESTIC STEWARDSHIP & ASSETS Upon the sealing of this contract, property is joined. The woman shall maintain the household and living stock with full rights of management. The sale or destruction of property remains the sole prerogative of the man. Note: Upon termination, original property reverts to the initial owner. Assets acquired during the union shall be divided at the man's discretion.

V. LINEAGE AND OFFSPRING The man shall sire children to ensure the continuation of his bloodline. The woman shall bear, raise, and educate all offspring according to the man’s wishes. She shall not impede pregnancy through the use of Noble Wine without his consent. Children shall take the Caste of the father.

VI. GUARDIANSHIP AND DISCIPLINE The man assumes full legal guardianship, superseding all previous blood ties. He shall speak for her in all legal and financial forums. He assumes responsibility for her conduct and may administer discipline as he sees fit, provided it accords with the laws of Ar’s Station.
