PREAMBLE: In the absence of living male kin or a contracted Free Companion, and as an alternative to the default guardianship of the High Council, the undersigned woman seeks the formal protection of her person, property, and interests. The undersigned man hereby accepts the mantle of Legal Guardian, as recognized by the Home Stone of Ar’s Station.

❖ THE PROVISIONS ❖

I. ASSETS AND ESTATE The Ward retains ownership of all property, slaves, and coin held prior to this signing. A formal inventory shall be filed with this document. The Guardian shall not interfere with the Ward’s procurement of property provided he is given cursory notification. In matters of slave management, either party may act as the responsible authority in the other's absence. Should the Ward fall into insolvency, the Guardian may settle her debts and seek reimbursement as he deems fit.

II. LEGAL REPRESENTATION & CONDUCT The Guardian is empowered to speak on behalf of the Ward in Courts of Law and upon official documents. He shall treat the Ward with the deference due to a Free Woman so long as she adheres to the law and Caste codes. Should her conduct become improper, the Guardian retains the right to administer discipline. However, she shall remain a Free Woman and shall not be collared under this provision.

III. DUTY OF PROTECTION The Guardian pledges to preserve the life, health, modesty, and freedom of the Ward, providing legal and physical defense as required. This protection is contingent upon the Ward not willfully or knowingly placing herself in positions of peril or disgrace.

IV. ARRANGEMENT OF COMPANIONSHIP Should the Guardian deem it advantageous to arrange a Free Companionship for the Ward, he retains the right to negotiate the terms. He shall determine the Bride Price, of which he may retain up to one-half (50%) as a fee of guardianship, with the remainder belonging to the Ward. He shall hear her concerns, but the final decision remains his prerogative.

V. AUTOMATIC FORFEITURE OF FREEDOM If it is discovered that the Ward was untruthful regarding her past, legal standing, or possessions at the time of signing, or if she willfully places the Guardian in legal or physical jeopardy, her freedom may be declared forfeit at the Guardian’s discretion.

❖ TERMINATION ❖

This covenant shall be rendered null and void upon:

Mutual consent of both parties.

The revocation of the Guardian’s citizenship.

The Guardian’s permanent departure from Ar's Station.

The marriage (Free Companionship) or enslavement of the Ward.

The death of either party.

Note: Dissolution by the Guardian alone requires a Magistrate’s countersign.
