I.  That we enter this agreement freely and with no legal reservations.: Neither party has no outstanding contracts, no threats of enslavement, has not been branded or marked in any way and attest to their full freedom.

II. That we will uphold honor: To each other and the Castes of which we both reside within, (Free Woman) agrees to respect and honor the Caste of which her Companion is within, as she would her own. 

Both parties will respect and honor each other. She will act to the man's credit. He will remember that she is a free woman unless she acts in immodest, disgraceful and/or disrespectful manner. The woman will have the right to discuss motives or intentions with the man in private if she wishes, but will always abide by the man's decisions.

III. That we support duty to Caste:

The woman shall continue her work and/or studies in her caste if such work and/or studies are being taken before the contract is in effect.  She will not let it interfere with her duties to the man, nor will she let her work and/or studies falter. The man accepts her caste work and will support her in it so that she may excel. The woman, however, shall not utilize such work or studies as an excuse to neglect her duties to her Free Companion.

IV. That we share ownership of property and maintain the household:

Once contract is signed,  property of both parties  is joined. The woman will maintain the household, including living stock, and will have full rights over such property. The only exception is selling or destruction of such property in any way, such will be deemed by the man. Acquisition of new slave property should be discussed beforehand, with exception made for gifts and forced collaring.

Upon termination of this contract, should it not be renewed, each party will retain ownership of existing property, above stated, that was theirs before the contract term.  Any property or financial assets obtained during the course of the companionship will be divided as the man sees fit.

V.  That we will produce children:

The man will sire children with the woman to insure continuation of his bloodline.   The woman shall  bear, raise and educate all offspring in accordance with the man's wishes. The woman will bear as many children as may happen or as the man wants.  She will not prevent pregnancy by taking Noble Wine without the knowledge of the man.  Upon termination of this contract, should it not be renewed, the man shall determine who will raise the children. These children will keep their caste of birth which is the caste of their father.

VI. That we agree to guardianship and discipline:

    

As a component of this contract, the man does assume legal guardianship for the woman above all previous blood, household, or contract agreements.  The man speaks for her in all legal and financial matters, and assumes the responsibility for her behavior should there ever be a question of its modesty or legality.  As such, the man may discipline the woman in any manner he sees fit and that complies with the Laws, up to and including enslavement.

Guardianship Contract

In lieu of any living male relative or contracted companion within Selnar and the default guardianship of the High Council of Selnar, the undersigned woman [Name Of Woman] seeks protection of her person, property and interests in the form of legally recognized guardianship from the undersigned man [Name Of Man].

It is recognized that as per the Civil Law of Selnar, the man is a Citizen or Resident of Selnar, residing within the jurisdiction of Selnar.

This following provisions are hereby mutually established and agreed upon:

I.  Possessions: 

    The woman will retain all of her legally owned property, including slaves, that were hers before this document is signed.  An inventory will be taken and kept on file. There will be no attempt by the man to interfere with procurement of property, slaves livestock, or possessions as long as a cursory notification is given. Both parties can step in as a responsible party for a slave in the absence of the slave's owner. Should the woman fall into debt and be unable to pay her debts, the man may choose at any time to pay her debts in full and seek whatever reimbursement from her he deems appropriate.

II.  Action:

    As legal Guardian, the man may speak on behalf of the woman's interests in a Court of Law or on legal documents should she be unable to speak for herself.

    The man will treat the woman with respect and due deference as long as her actions are within the bounds of law, Caste code, and social propriety. If the woman's actions are deemed improper by the man, he has full right as Guardian and Head of Household to discipline accordingly. 

III.  Protection:

    The man agrees to act in the woman's best interest to preserve her life, health, well being, modesty and freedom, up to an including legal and physical defense and rescue provided the woman did not act in such a way as to willfully and knowingly cause such situations as might compromise her  life, health, well being, modesty and freedom.

IV. Companionship:

    If the man deems it to be advantageous to arrange a companionship, the woman will be notified. He will arrange a due bridal price for her and may retain up to half of said price with the other half owing to the woman. Although he will listen to her concerns the final decision remains with him. 

V.  Termination:

    This contract of legal Guardianship will terminate on:

        The man's citizenship status should be revoked for any reason

        The man should cease to reside in the jurisdiction of Selnar

        Companionship of the woman

        Enslavement of the woman

        Death of either party

        

In the event the man wishes to dissolve the agreement, he is required to seek a Selnar Magistrate and have the termination signed off.

  

  

VI. Automatic enslavement:

    If at any time new information comes to light not known at the time of this contract signing that the woman the female has not been truthful to the man about her past, her possessions nor legal circumstances, or if at any time during the term of this contract the woman should put the man in a legally risky, socially dubious or physically dangerous positions, the woman understands her freedom may be forfeit.

Initial Scribe Slave Registration

This registration form is for the soul purpose of giving permission between the owner of below mentioned slave to the City of Selnar Scribes office ability to make use of mentioned slave for scribe duties designated by the scribes.

Restrictions: (Any restrictions the owner has upon the slave. These may be considered if they possibly interfere with assigned duties.)

Permission slip: (Must be a written letter by the owner expressing their desire for the slave to help within the scribes and expressly written that permission is given and certified by a scribe of Selnar.)

This form must be filled out by a scribe and verified separately by our record keeper. Signed, sealed and properly dated or it will not be valid. Furthermore the slave MUST maintain a copy of this in a leg carrier at all times while in the service of the scribes, failure to carry a copy of this form can result in punishment and forfeiture of any further work in the caste.
